  • Accessibility: This Train is Wheelchair Accessible via a Portable Wheelchair Lift! There is not a lift at Rockaway Beach for getting off during the layover. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure time if you will need the lift.
  • Pets Allowed In Outdoor Cars: We do allow dogs (and other small pets like cats) on our train! But only in the outdoor cars such as the Covered Open Car and the Open Air Car. Only task trained service animals are allowed in the indoor cars. Emotional Support Animals and Pets are not allowed in the indoor cars. Note that there will be firework noise aboard this train that may frighten some pets. Use discretion on whether your pet will be able to handle this event.

The Best way to get to the Fireworks Show!

Beat the traffic in Rockaway Beach for the fireworks show and take the train! Board the train in Garibaldi for a leisurely ride to Rockaway Beach to enjoy the annual fireworks show. The train is slated to be pulled into town by one of our stylish vintage diesel locomotives, while the ride back will be pulled by the historic McCloud River Railroad #25 steam locomotive. After the 30 minute trip to Rockaway Beach, passengers may watch the fireworks from the train or deboard for viewing pleasure. After the show ends, the train will return to Garibaldi.

This is our most popular excursion of the year popular excursion and we have sold out every year months before the event. We pull every car we have to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the ride. Secure your tickets now to guarantee a spot!

Because of the high demand, all tickets have the same price. Children under 3 are welcome to share an adult seat aboard the train and ride for free but they must sit on the lap of an adult.

Table Car – Two seat and four seat tables with chairs. Fully enclosed with windows that can slide open.

Covered Open Car – Open air car equipped with bench seats and a roof.

Open Top Car – Open air car equipped with bench seats and no roof.
