  • Accessibility: The train is not wheelchair accessible at Rockaway Beach. Passengers must be able to climb steps in order to get on board at this location. On board restrooms are not wheelchair accessible due to the nature of the historic cars. If you have mobility issues, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time so we can best accommodate you!
  • Pets Allowed in Outdoor Cars!: We do allow dogs (and other small pets like cats) on our train, but only in the outdoor cars such as the Covered Open Car and the Open Top Car. Only task trained service animals are allowed in the indoor cars. Emotional Support Animals and Pets are not allowed in the indoor cars.

Halloween Coast Train

Ring in the spooky season with an evening steam train ride along the Oregon Coast!

This 1 hour round trip train ride takes you south from Rockaway Beach toward Garibaldi aboard our train powered by a historic steam locomotive! The train is decorated in a not-so-spooky fashion to get all of our passengers into the Halloween spirit. We highly encourage passengers, both young and old, to dress in costume!

All children dressed in costume will get to Trick or Treat in the Neahkahnie Car once the train is underway, and there they will have the opportunity to enter into our on-board costume contest! All passengers will be treated to complimentary apple cider as they enjoy their ride!

Don’t miss this family-friendly way to get in the Halloween spirit, and avoid the ghosts while viewing the coast!

Seating Options:

Indoor Cars

Historic Wilson River Car – 1920’s passenger car with cushioned seats. Fully enclosed with windows and a roof.

Neahkahnie Car – 1910 dining car. Has tables and chairs, and is fully enclosed with windows and a roof.

Outdoor Cars

Open Car – Open air car equipped with bench seating and no roof.

Covered Car – Open air car equipped with bench seating and a roof.

All tickets are round-trip. There is no layover in Garibaldi.
