Garibaldi Station ExpansionProject January 24, 2016

Garibaldi Station-Revd
As a former Southern Pacific (SP) line built in 1911 – a year before the Titanic launched and sank, OCSR intends to preserve the railroad's historical essence by constructing a replica of an SP Depot style no. 11 at the Garibaldi Station. Along side the new Depot will be a matching Office building with public restrooms. The existing Engine House will undergo renovations, and lastly a fully functional Water Tower to exhibit a completeEco-consciousand beautifully practical train station.

Within four phases, the estimated timeline completes this project in December 2017. Expanding the Garibaldi Station with mindful, innovative consideration, will redefine the guest experience and protect our region's rich pioneering history simultaneously.

With commitment to social, and economic responsibility, the Depot’s meeting room will be available to hold events such as job training and education, club and corporate gatherings, city and chamber of commerce meetings, twelve step program meetings, First Aid/CPR classes, Emergency Management seminars and the like. Such year-round events will nurture preparedness and direction for Garibaldi and Tillamook County collectively.
